We are a card, gift, balloon and party supplies shop in West Totton, on the outskirts of The New Forest.
Karen and Kevin Nolan opened Maddy Moos in 2011. After years of making cards for friends and relatives, as well as working as a merchandiser for the UK's leading greetings card company, the opening of Maddy Moos was a long standing dream for Karen. Sadly Kevin passed away in March 2017. Before his passing he asked his daughter Hayleigh to take over alongside Karen, so that the family business could continue.
As we were unable to think of a name that identified us as a card and gift shop that also involved an element of humour in the title we turned to one thing that never failed to bring a smile to the face of everyone she met, our cocker spaniel Maddy, affectionately known as Maddy Moo by the whole family since she was a puppy. Whilst her skills within the shop were minimal and she showed no interest whatsoever in working, she played an important role in bringing fun to Maddy Moos. We sadly had to say goodbye to our beautiful girl in summer 2023. She was the absolute joy to our lives, especially after we lost Kev.
And as for Kev, he was the heart and soul of Maddy Moos and went above and beyond for customers. His passing has left a huge hole in the community but his cheerful, cheeky and friendly personality along with his incredible work ethic will never be forgotten. We hope to keep building a successful business and make him proud.
